Bottom Line:
Our Sage is an Australia-wide GP telehealth provider with a 15-minute service option and transparent, affordable pricing. No medication delivery/ bulk-billing/ mental health care plans.
Our Sage is an Australia-wide GP telehealth provider with a 15-minute service option and transparent, affordable pricing. No medication delivery/ bulk-billing/ mental health care plans.
Online consultations with General Practitioners, medical certificates, referrals, and scripts are all among Our Sage’s services. This private telehealth GP clinic offers fast service for most common conditions at a mid-range cost Australia-wide, but does not address more comprehensive requests. Open 16/7, consultations can be delivered seven days a week within 15 minutes for priority bookings.
1. Telehealth delivered by GPs, not AHPRA-registered doctors like on DoctorsOnDemand.
2. Long consultations are available, which is not offered on other telehealth sites I reviewed, such as Updoc.
3. Very fast priority consults within 15 minutes, and even regular consults often require only 30 30-minute wait. This makes Our Sage one of the fastest telehealth services, up there with HolaHealth.
1. Customer service does not always respond to requests fully and often fails to issue refunds, according to ProductReview users [1].
2. Repeats are generally issued as singles only, according to patients [1].
3. Services are not as comprehensive as with premium providers such as PrimeMedic. No mental health care plans, no bulk-billing after-hours.

This telehealth service offers speedy and affordable access to General Practitioners (GPs) with no specific specialisation. The focus is to bring quality primary care online. This is a slightly different approach to most telehealth services (you’ll find the same at Qoctor, though).
Medication delivery or assistance locating an after-hours pharmacy is not available with Our Sage, unlike almost all telehealth providers I reviewed. None of the services are bulk-billed, but all have fixed costs.
Online Prescriptions: Scripts can be sent directly to you by email, SMS, or app. According to patients on ProductReview [1], these are normally only issued for one repeat. New scripts require a doctor’s consultation.
Medical Certificate: Medical certificates can be issued for patients and caregivers for up to 4 days, but 3- to 4-day certificates require a doctor’s consultation. (Although this may be treated as a formality according to some reviewers on Trustpilot [2].)
Telehealth Consultation: Telehealth consults are all delivered by GPs—this is not the norm across telehealth competitors, who mostly use AHPRA-registered doctors (like Medmate, for example). Our Sage also offers extended consultation length and priority consults.
Specialist Referral: Referrals for blood tests, imaging, or specialists can also be issued after a consultation with one of the telehealth GPs.
Our Sage offers real-time updates on where you are in the queue, with most patients being called within 30 minutes (or within 1 hour at most) or 15 minutes for priority bookings. This is in line with some of the faster telehealth services I’ve reviewed, like HolaHealth.
Cost-wise, OurSage has transparent service pricing at the lower to mid-range of privately paid services, such as Qoctor. OurSage does not offer any bulk-billed services, as this usually requires a physical visit with the same clinic in the last 12 months or a service delivered after-hours.
Here is a more detailed breakdown of costs for each service:
Our Sage’s website is designed in a simple and easy-to-navigate way. I found it straight to the point, with all services and prices available without scrolling, and more detailed conditions and questions addressed further down the page.
The information is presented in a clear and direct manner. It is less detailed in its approach to information and presenting it grouped than, say, DoctorsOnDemand.
Process-wise, Our Sage advertises a three-step approach to most services, making it faster to book and join the queue than with services such as Midoc.
A clear bonus is the helpdesk, which also offers advice on technical problems, not just procedural or informational.
Overall, the site is one of the easiest-to-navigate telehealth sites I have come across, especially compared to sites such as HubHealth, which is less intuitive and clear in its layout and includes more marketing text. Our Sage simplifies the information and the process with clear, professional language and intuitive design.
Our Sage is part of Cornerstone Health Pty Ltd, which has a very clearly defined and detailed privacy policy. It complies with the Australian Privacy Act and responsibly collects, stores, and shares your data only for the purposes needed to provide its service to you, as well as necessary for medicolegal reasons.
The service does not share your personal information with any third party for sales, marketing, or other purposes. It also does not share your information with any business located outside of Australia other than Stripe for payment provision.
The site makes it easy to contact Our Sage to opt out of direct marketing communication. You can also access your information for a fee.
Customer service can only be reached via live chat or web form. Our Sage provides neither an email address nor a contact number. It also does givesno any estimate of waiting times to speak to a representative, unlike premium providers such as Prime Medic.
However, Our Sage’s customer service is open for longer (from 7 am to 10 pm (AEST) than, for example, Midoc. It also has a more comprehensive help centre with detailed answers for even technical issues, which isn’t available on most other telehealth services’ websites.
While many patients on ProductReview [1] note that customer service was professional and kind, they did not always resolve the issues and often failed to offer timely solutions. Refunds were rarely given.
With most telehealth services offering consultations with AHPRA-registered practitioners, Our Sage stands out as one of the few services providing very fast GP telehealth consultations privately, and does so at a mid-range cost. Our Sage offers neither bulk-billing nor access to specific mental health care plans, as the site states these must be agreed with your regular GP. Mental health care assessments (and sometimes sessions) are, however, available on many other telehealth sites, such as Medmate.
The information provided does not constitute medical advice. Please conduct your own research for up-to-date pricing and service-related information.
Telehealth services are designed to complement primary healthcare options. Even in the case of GP-delivered telehealth consultations, regular visits to your own GP for physical assessments and to ensure oversight are recommended.
