Meet The Team: Dr. Tal Rapke

Doctor Tal Rapke, a father of two high-energy boys, and a trained Australian physician, believes in an interconnected healthcare future, where knowledge is accessible everywhere, where consumers are truly centric to health, where data is interpreted for actionable insights, where patients are treated bespokely as people, and where health innovations focus on the triple aim – better health outcomes, healthcare efficiencies, and improved customer experience of health.

Dr Tal was the CEO and founder of SclaMed, a digital prescription wallet, enabling patients to receive prescriptions from any doctor in the US, price compare across pharmacies, and send the prescription from their phone to a pharmacy of their choice for pick-up or delivery. Dr Tal exited the business in 2022 to Cardinal Health, one of the world’s largest healthcare companies, and worked at Cardinal Health, supporting them to grow and develop the technology.

Previously, Dr Tal spent seven years at Sanofi, in various roles on the company’s executive team including the company’s Medical Director and Innovation Director. In his innovation role he set-up and led the Innovation Business Unit, a product-agnostic HealthCare Division of Sanofi.

Dr Tal, began his varied health career as a medical doctor at the Alfred Hospital, in rural Kenya, and in indigenous communities in far north Australia. Subsequently, Dr Tal spent five years in the US working in health innovation – helping to grow the largest web-based health information library, developing new concepts in marketing, education and e-strategy, and working as a strategic consultant across healthcare.

Dr Tal’s creativity, passion, energy, and entrepreneurship, combined with his strategic thinking, delivery-focus, and his extensive training and experience in various medical specialties and management consulting, continue to support his evolving impact in health.
